Day 1 : Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate:
Departure around 8:30 in the morning with transfer service from the Hotel or Riad, depending on where the accommodation in Marrakech has been chosen. We start towards the High Atlas crossing the port of Tizi N’Tichka with panoramic view stops. Visit to the Argan Oil Cooperative where we will discover the stages of production and they will explain the innumerable benefits that this has for the human body. We continue towards the South, deviating from a 6 km track that will take us to the village of Ait Ben Haddou where we will visit its Kasbah (declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO). Very famous films such as Gladiator or The Jewel of the Nile have been shot in this spectacular environment. Lunch in the village and then towards Ouarzazate. Known as the gateway to the great desert. Dinner and accommodation according to the chosen hotel category.
Day 2 : Ouarzazate – Draa Valley – Alnif – The dunes of Merzouga:
After breakfast we leave for the Draa valley where one of the longest rivers in Morocco emerges. Several stops to contemplate the cute adobe kasbahs and Berber villages that pop up along the way and the wonders of the Draa. After lunch in Alnif, 2-hour journey to arrive at the impressive dunes of Merzouga, where we will have a hospitality tea while we rest a bit from the journey. We leave our suitcases and everything we don’t need for the desert at the hotel and set off in a group of dromedaries for about an hour and a half which will take us to the foot of the Great Dune, welcomed by the beautiful desert sunset. Dinner in the camp and night in a jaima in the heart of the desert under its spectacular blanket of stars.
Day 3 : Merzouga – Khamlia – Visit of the Nomads – Merzouga:
We wake up before dawn to watch the sun come out. Return by dromedary to the hostel. Shower and breakfast. We set out to circle the Erg Chebbi, an extension of the sandy desert where the Great Dune of Morocco is more than 250 meters high, contacting by track with part of the itinerary carried out by the old Paris-Dakar, with the mountains marking the Algerian border on the bottom. Stop in the oasis of Tissardmin and continuation towards a nomadic camp where we will know some habits and secrets of their life. Rear stop at a panoramic point where you can contemplate the whole of Erg Chebbi. Stop in Khamlia, a village originally from Mali, where we can relax with a tea while listening to a small concert of Gnawa music. Return to the hostel, lunch and free afternoon to climb the dunes and enjoy a romantic sunset. After dinner, a Berber drum show awaits us. Dinner and accommodation according to the chosen hotel category.
Day 4 : Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley:
We leave towards Rissani and Erfoud to visit the fossilized marble factory before continuing towards the palm area of Touroug and Tinjdad. We will arrive at one of the highlights of the South: the Todra Gorges. The bed of the river has formed a gorge of vertical walls of enormous proportions and of great beauty; it is a unique place and a climber’s paradise. Lunch on site and then half an hour walk to contemplate the gorges with more peace of mind. In the afternoon we continue towards the Dades Valley via Boumalde. Arrival at the Dades Gorges. Dinner and accommodation according to the chosen hotel category.
Day 5 : Valley of the Dades – Skoura – Ouarzazate – Marrakech:
After breakfast we leave along a road dotted with Kasbahs, all different from each other. After several stops we will go towards the itinerary of the Thousand Kasbahs, the Valley of the Roses and the great Palmeto de Skoura. Arrival in Ouarzazate, visit to the Kasbah of Taourirt (former residence of the Glaoui) or pachài Marrakech. Lunch on site. We depart from the mountain port Tizi Ntichka with stops to appreciate the spectacular panoramic views it offers. Arrival in Marrakech in the evening. Transfer to the hotel and end of our services.
