August holidays in Morocco


Day 1 : airport

Arrival and assistance at the airport. Hotel accommodation. Dinner and overnight in Casablanca.

Day 2 : Essaouria – El Jadida

After breakfast, transfer to the city of Essaouira. The tour includes a visit to the main port of the city and the Old Medina which is located within the famous city walls and La Scala. Optional lunch and then a stop at the two cities Oualidia and El Jadida during the transfer to Casablanca. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 3 : Casablanca – Rabat

Casablanca city tour: Visit the Souk, the Habous district, the Royal Palace, Mohamed V square, the Anfa residential area and the Hassan II Mosque from the outside, the largest mosque in the world after Mecca. Optional lunch in a restaurant located on the city’s seafront. In the afternoon departure for Rabat, the administrative capital of the country. Visit the Royal Palace (Mechouar), the Kasbah Ouadaya and its gardens, the Mausoleum of Mohamed V and the Hassan tower. Transfer to your hotel in Rabat. Dinner and overnight

Day 4 : Meknes – Fez

Departure for Meknes, another imperial city characterized by ramparts about 40 kilometers long. The city was declared a World Heritage Site in 1996. The city bears the name of a Berber tribe known as the Miknasa. Visit the Bab Mansour Gate. Free lunch. In the afternoon visit the ruins of the Roman city of Volubilis and the holy city of Moulay Driss. Stop in Fes with dinner and overnight.

Day 5 : Fez

After breakfast, day dedicated to the visit of Fes, the spiritual capital of the country and the oldest of the imperial cities, founded in 790 by Moulay Idriss II. Visits include the Medieval Medina, Attarine or Bou Anania Medersa (ancient Islamic religious university), the Nejjarine Fountain, the Moulay Idriss mausoleum and the Karaouine Mosque from the outside. Free lunch (optional: a traditional restaurant located in the heart of the medina). In the afternoon visit the souk and the Fes Jdid district. Return and overnight at the hotel in Fes.

Day 6 : Fez – Marrakech

After breakfast, departure for Marrakesh with an intermediate stop at the Berber villages of Immouzer and Ifrane. Free lunch. Continue south with a stop in Beni Mellal, an important agricultural center of the country. Evening arrival in Marrakech. Accommodation in hotel, dinner and overnight.

Day 7 : Marrakech

Day dedicated to the discovery of Marrakech, also known as “The Pearl of the South”. Marrakech is the second oldest imperial city in Morocco and was founded in the 12th century by the Almoravid dynasty. The tour includes: Menara Gardens, Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, Koutoubia and Dar Si Said Museum. Free lunch. In the afternoon, visit the souk, the artisans’ quarters and the famous Djemaa El Fna square. The optional dinner will be served under the kaidali tents of the famous restaurant “Chez Ali” with a show by folk groups from different regions of the country. I’m going back to the hotel.

Day 8 : Marrakech – airport

breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Marrakech airport for final departure.
