Trekking tour in Morocco on Mount Toubkal and the coasts of the Atlantic Ocean. 15 days /14 nights
Day 1 : Marrakech
Departure from Italy with the Royal Air Maroc scheduled flight. Arrival at Menara International Airport in Marrakech, assistance from our staff and transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Day 2 : Marrakech – Ourika Valley – Oukaimden
After breakfast, departure towards the Atlas Mountains crossing the Ourika valley dotted with small Berber villages. We will cross the Tizi N’Oudi pass to reach Oukaimden, a town located at an altitude of 2,600 meters. Accommodation in refuge/local guesthouse, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3 : Oukaimden – Imesker (6 hours trekking)
After breakfast departure to reach Imesker: a journey of about 6 hours along the valley will take us to the village located at 1,381 meters above sea level. Along the way you will be able to appreciate the spectacle of nature and the terraced cultivations that are used in this rural area. Arrival and accommodation in a local refuge/pension, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4 : Imesker – Tizi N’Tacht – Tizi Ouessem
After breakfast, departure to reach the valley of Azaden. We will cross the Tizi N’Tacht pass, located at 2,467 meters and the magnificent scenery of the Tazarat plateau. Arrival and accommodation in a local refuge/pension, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5 : Tizi Ouessem – Armed (Trekking 4 hours)
After breakfast, departure to the village of Armed, located at 2,400m. Along the way you will cross the Tizi M’Zik pass. Arrival and accommodation in a local private house. Afternoon at leisure to visit the village and the surrounding area. Dinner and overnight.
Day 6 : Armed – Toubkal refuge (5 hours trekking)
After breakfast, a five-hour trek will lead us to the Neltner refuge, located at 3,106 meters at the foot of Jebel Toubkal. Accommodation in tent/shelter, dinner and overnight.
Day 7 : Toubkal Refuge – Top of Toubkal – Armed (6 hours trekking)
Day dedicated to reaching the summit of Mount Toubkal. With an easy trek you climb the path that leads to the top of Mount Toubkal, which with its 4165 meters of altitude, is the highest peak in North Africa. This summit offers a magnificent panorama of the Siroua mountain and the Imlil valley. Packed lunch. A two hour descent will take us back to the village of Armed. Dinner and overnight.
Day 9 : Tafdna – Sidi Ahmed Saih
Day dedicated to the discovery of the region, the natural context is unique: we are located between the imposing Atlas chain and the immense beaches of the Atlantic Ocean. We will explore the territory entirely covered by Argan forests. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 10 : Sidi Ahmed Saih – Sidi M’Barek
Day dedicated to the discovery of the region. A trek along the dunes and postcard landscapes will lead us to small fishing villages where we will be able to observe the lifestyle of the local population and appreciate the different species of birdlife that inhabits this area. Time available to take a bath in a hot spring. In the evening laying of the camp and overnight in the mobile camp.
Day 11 : Sidi M’Barek – Sidi Kaouki (4 hours trekking)
Day dedicated to the discovery of the region. A trek along the dunes and the immense beaches of the ocean will lead us to the discovery of small fishing villages and unforgettable panoramas. Time available to take a bath. In the evening laying of the camp and overnight in the mobile camp.
Day 12 : Sidi Kaouki – Tabia (5 hours trekking)
After breakfast, a five-hour trek along the beautiful beaches of the Atlantic coast will lead us to the village of Tabia. Arrival and laying of the field. Dinner and overnight.
Day 13 : Tabia – Essaouira
In the morning departure for Essaouira. Day at leisure to visit the town whose medina is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Accommodation in hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 14 : Essaouira – Marrakech
After breakfast, departure for Marrakech. Arrival and day at leisure to visit the city, nicknamed “The Pearl of the South”, founded in the 12th century by the Almoravid dynasty who left noteworthy palaces and gardens. We recommend a visit to the Saadian Tombs, the Menara gardens, the Koutoubia, the Bahia palace, the souk, the artisans’ quarters and the famous Djemaa El Fna square, where the show is permanent. Accommodation in hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 15 : Marrakech – airport :
Depending on the flight schedule, transfer to the airport in Marrakech for boarding the international flight. Arrival at the scheduled airport and end of our services.
